Background information From

ns in Jubilee Klezmer Ensemble share a love of the lively music from "the old countries." We play a tsimmes of styles from Russia, Poland, Rumania, & Ukraine. We are an instrumental trio made up of Clarinet, Accordion and Bass, often adding violin or mandolin. We are frequently joined by Larry Kass, singing traditional Sephardic love songs and lullabies in the original Ladino tongue.

JKE plays a wide variety of ancient to modern Klezmer and Israeli music, making Jubilee an ideal choice for concerts, festivals, weddings, parties, dances, and religious services. This band also has a large repertoire of traditional Israeli dance music and enjoys performing for and with dancers. Throughout the year, Jubilee Klezmer Ensemble also does many educational lecture/performances where band members talk about the history of Klezmer music and demonstrate a variety of Klezmer music styles.
